Carissa is the Director of Development with Port City Counselling Services and a full-time social worker with the Department of Social Development. She has experience in diverse settings such as the public sector, the federal correctional system, and the medical model of care. Carissa completed a four-year double degree program with McMaster University and graduated with both a B.A. in Sociology and a Bachelor of Social Work. She is currently a Masters of Social Work Candidate with Dalhousie University. As Director of Development, Carissa’s role includes community development, program coordination/implementation, and media management. Carissa is a Registered Social Worker with the New Brunswick Association of Social Workers (NBASW).

Carissa is not currently providing therapy services at this time.
